How to Capitalize on Gift Card Giving for Back-To-School

It’s that time of year again. It feels like summer just got started, and retailers are already featuring back-to-school merchandise and gear. First of all, don’t panic! There’s still a lot of summer fun to be had. Secondly, there are ways to embrace the inevitable transition from summer to fall.

In addition to the incentive programs you may already have in place, now is a good time to offer additional incentives capitalizing on back-to-school promotions. Even those who don’t have children or family members officially heading back to school can still take advantage of some amazing deals. By offering rewards in the form of gift cards, such as JCPenney, individuals will have the choice on how to spend it. Maybe on something for themselves or on family members for things such as new backpacks, clothing, lunch boxes…items that alleviate the sadness over the end of summer, and make going back to school even a little more exciting.

Non-profit organizations, for example, can buy JCPenney gift cards reward volunteers, save money on back to school items and raise funds for their organizations. What better time to find out about those options than when everyone is getting ready to go back to school?

By offering gift cards as an option, there are countless ways to spend the reward. This time of year can be overwhelming financially, and adding an extra reward to offset the cost of upcoming expenses such as new school supplies can be very motivating.
